Been sorn in the garage for 8 months, did an oil change last week but TBH the noisey tappets were there before the oil change. Its louder at start up but does go quieter, however it doesn't go away altogether. Is this an expensive fix. TIA _________________ Current cars: E46 330ci 'vert. Ranger Thunder 2.5 TDI Pickup. Otherwise, remove them all, drain them, refill with clean oil and refit. Did that on my daughter's Corsa, and all was well afterwards. I had the followers replaced under warranty by BMW on a 30K miles 328i. It'd only gone in for a service and I hadn't even noticed any noise! They're about £20 each and as CC says, there are 24 of them.
